Have read through your book once already and I think I am going to re-read chapters 6 & 9.

One question, can a blog take a swf file [flash file] that has audio in it? We use swf files for our e-newsletter that has audio. Do we need to use an alternate audio format like a wave file or mp3. Please advise. Thanks,

Mary Kay Lofurno

My personal abhorrence for Flash is intense since it precludes user interaction which is fundamental to blogging. I strongly believe in Jakob Neilsen's comments that Flash is 99% bad. (http://www.useit.com/alertbox/20001029.html)

For these reasons, I've never considered using it in a blog. There should be no reason that it can't be enclosed in an enclosure tag, but since it can't be downloaded to an iPod for time-shifted use, like an MP3, I would not waste the time or effort. Go right to MP3 and dash the Flash.
